Rain gardens, also called recharge gardens, are small detention and infiltration areas that use native vegetation. Rain gardens are inexpensive and easy to setup. Rain gardens are a popular form of rainwater mitigation. Rain gardens are easy retrofits for existing properties and are well suited for both individual homes, or larger common areas. Rain gardens are a form of Bioretention. Fall Creek Gardens installed a rain garden at our community gardens. A group of volunteers helped plant the rain garden at Fall Creek Gardens.
